I read that multi-GPU setups (both desktop and laptop) only work in full screen applications. Meaning, when playing a game in windowed mode or borderless mode only 1 GPU will be used in a multi-GPU setup.

    Is this true?

I believe nVidia SLI supports windowed mode but CrossfireX is full screen only.

Alright that's unfortunate... thanks for the clarification.
