    Which system is better,more stable,less problems etc
    Im looking to buy used Alienware 18 but don't know which to chose.
    580SLi or 6990 Crossfire

    nvidia sli drivers are better imo and i think the 580m scales better in sli than a 6990m in cfx, but i would just buy a desktop instead of that and keep your g73.

    ^ What he said. If you want to get rid of your ASUS, then the SLI is a better choice, mainly because benchmarks show that the 580m scales much better than the 6990m.

    I like the M18X with a single 680M. But price-wise, I am also tempted on a M17X with a single 680M which could run $500-$600 less.
