    SP1 Not here yet? LOL?!

    I know its weird but i still didn't get SP1 for Vista. I recently installed it from a downloaded version from Microsoft : KB936330.


    I realised i got more ms and more choke from it and my performance just went down...


    Maybe thats why i cant download it from Windows update

    I'm not really sure what you are saying.

    If you just installed SP1, it might feel a little bit slower because Windows dumped its pre-fetch data. Give it a day or two to recalibrate itself (it'll do so automatically) and performance should return to what it was before.

    If it is still slow after 3 days, then you might have a problem, otherwise just let it rebuild the cache data.

    If it didn't download itself through WU it's that there are known problems with a piece of your hardware.

    Nevertheless, a clean install with a SP1 media or a slipstreamed one is the optimal way to do it
