    Just finished Crysis Warhead.

***SPOILERS BELOW SO DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED YET***

I liked it. Not quite as much content as the original, but still decent nevertheless. It seemed to be fairly easy and constant paced until the very end where it got very frantic very quickly. Only one main boss to kill (except the one near the beginning, but you had help then).

Not sure if I liked that though. Slow, slow, slow, then BAM! Get hit with lots of action all at once.

The final cutscenes seemed to lag even with my desktop 8800 GT video card, otherwise everything else was quite smooth.

Definitely looks like there will be at least one more sequel. Not sure if I'd rather have these games in segments like this, or a more complete product.

The original had lots of content and took a while to complete. This one didn't take so long. I think they're trying to stretch it out when they could have developed it for another six to nine months and had a product twice as long with a little more depth.

But I guess compared with Half-Life Episodes, I like this time frame better. I love it when game engines are optimized and a few sequels are offered with the same engine, just optimized, and are out to market fairly quickly. F.E.A.R. did this as well.

Either way, I look forward to what is in that crate, although I think I can guess. But what does this mean for the end game?

Quite a good game but far too short. :)
I've gotten very tired of fighting Koreans as the only human enemy, hearing the same dialouge among them, etc. I hope there can be mods where I can fight other humans.

Another Crysis game will surely come out to finish the cliffhanger in the first game, but it looks like you'll only be fighting aliens in the sequel. Shame, as many including myself, find the Koreans more fun to fight than the aliens. :(

I am not sure about warhead storyline, but is fun to play :p after ended the game my head is full of maximum power, cloak engage ~!! now lets hope they (EA) put more storyline in crysis3 with good ending. i am sure there will be crysis3 since they already talk about Nomad, and Psycho...
Prophet should have good storyline as the 1st crysis :D ( don't forget he is missing while somehow he got a godly weapon )

i wonder they will make a movie :D

Warhead is not Crysis 2, take it a bonus content to Crysis the first.

Yeah - I have the suit voice "Maximum Armor", "Maximum Strength", "Cloak Engaged", and god forbid "Energy Critical" in my head.

I wanna play through these games so bad. Just for the effect.

But don't have a PC to play it comfortably on.

Figure I can build something over next summer, seeing as I'll prolly go into apartment rather than dorms... And can take it with me easier.

There was just no point of building a desktop this year if it sits at my house all week without me on it. Plus.. it should be a lot cheaper for a crysis machine next summar. :]

EA doesn't make, nor have ANY say in what goes into the game, they are the publisher, NOT the developer. Crytek makes the game, does everything for it, and sends a completed copy to EA for them to run it through quality control, create marketing, get it registered through the rating systems such as the ESRB, then send it off to a disk copy facility. Most people seem to think that EA is responsible for any game they have thier logo on, and this is false, EA does make games, but most of them are made by a third party who is using EA as a publisher.

About crysis Warhead, I liked it, it was short, but alot longer than I had expected it to be. At the end I wasn't dissapointed at all. The only thing I had a HUGE issue with is that this game runs 20% worse than the first on my system completely maxed out, also, ALL of the textures in this game look like crap unless your within 20 feet of them, and many times it will take up to 3-5 seconds to fully load in a texture once you walk right infront of it. This made almost every fast scene look BAD. I heard from all the review sites that this game runs substantially better, but for me on my desktop it ran soooooo much worse and had so many more issues than the first.

You should be able to play with your lappie and 8600m GT! I played the original Crysis on my 8600m GT with med-hi settings (shaders/shadows med). Sure it didn't look lifelike, but it still was fun and ran well. Warhead should run better with same settings.

I enjoyed it a lot more than the original. This time around, I set everything to mainstream and left it alone. No fretting over graphics, just enjoying the gameplay. Much to my surprise the Ice levels ran at a playable framerate. In the first one, I was getting ~10 FPS in the ice levels, everything on medium. What I hated was it took 2-3 minutes to load levels for me.

I finished it myself yesterday, I actually enjoyed it more than the original Crysis. The graphics were amazing and the story was good as well. Overall I thought it was great.

No, but if you have the hardware, it's worth the purchase.

It should run fine on 8600m GT video cards. That's not asking too much.

I'm sort of lacking in the $$ sector right now.

So my eyes are mainly on things I can run perfectly.

Such as Fable 2 on my xbox, or mount and blade on PC.

    ;]

Edit: Are custom configs available for the crysis demo? So I can see how it would pan out?

Custom configs are prolly my only way to go.

Just finished it - I liked it a lot! Better than the first Crysis; more action, better story.

It's perfectly playable on an 8600m GT, even a HDR setting. It's all a matter of finding the right config ( ;) to Eazy_e)

    Looks like this:

just finished it 2 days ago, on my desktop running hd3650 Gddr3. runs quite well at medium settings 30fps+. its a good game but almost too short. I'm confused with the storyline, did the warhead story happen 4 years before crysis as the subtitles indicated? then why was the aliens a surprise in crysis?
