    STALKER not working properly- is it my vid cards fault ?

    Hi,

    I can play stalker...its just that the sky and trees appear to collide and form a mixture so its extremely blury...ground level is fine and I can see the characters etc. Also, black lines appear on the sky- seems like birds ?

    I have a nvd quadro 110m set @ 256mb.

    Can I do anything about this ?

    If you're using a quadro then playing games with the manufacturer provided stock drivers is going to lead to poor gaming performance. Download forum-recommended Geforce drivers for better performance but read up on how to avoid compatibility issues.

    Most users get their drivers from laptopvideo2go. Google the term and go to the website. Read their instructions VERY CAREFULLY about how to update your video drivers.

    If you bought your quadro for OpenGL professional applications you will have to reinstall manufacturer drivers each time you use the applications since those drivers are optimised for professional apps, regular consumer geforce drivers won't give the same level of performance.

    Update your Nvidia drivers. Its a turbocache issue on older drivers.

    If that doesn`t fix it then add the following command when running STALKER

    XR_3DA.exe -gpu_nopure
