During Labor Day weekend I was playing SWTOR when my game froze, became pixelated, and then went to BSOD. I was running the 9400M and single GTX260M graphics cards. After determining the 260M burned out I purchased 2 new ones and upgraded to dual 260Ms with SLI. After getting all the parts installed and updating to the latest drivers the computer seemed to be working perfectly until I attempted to play SWTOR. Now I am having horrible framerate issues. I was told my cpu may be bottlenecking, but before my 260m crashed I was playing the game fine on high settings with very little framerate issues. I downloaded Razer Gamebooster but it hasn't helped. I've tried numerous settings from different sites and still nothing helps. I even went down to the lowest settings possible and it still has framerate issues. Any ideas or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I'm to the point now of looking at buying a new desktop but I'd rather try to get a bit more life out of my laptop before dropping $$$$ on a new system before Christmas. Maybe I should be grateful I've gotten 4 years of usage out of it.
Also I should note that the framerate is only dropping in areas of heavy traffic. I can run around freely in my ship and other areas with little population.

welcome
try disabling one of the 260 cards and try that. could be the sli setup.
also what sort of temperatures are you getting with cpu/gpu.
lots of monitoring software in sig below. -
If memory serves me correct I think the temps were in the mid 50s C. That was according to Gamebooster. I'll have to double check when I get home. I can say that the new 260Ms are no where near as hot as the old one just based on my physically touching it. The old card would almost burn your finger if you held it there long enough. I'll disable the 2nd card and see what happens. With the new Nvidia drivers you have to disable hybrid and integrated in Bios. In the Nvidia control panel it shows both cards in SLI mode with card 1 for the monitor and card 2 for PhysX. The 9400 no longer shows up in my device manager, just the dual 260Ms.
