Hey guys. Couldn't really think of a good name for this thread lol.

First off here's my system specs:
-1.60 Ghz P M (sys req labs says my processor is rated at 1.90 GHz, not sure what that means.)
    -1278 MB Ram
    -256 X200M Express

Ok now the problem. I'm playing Sacred: Gold and I'm getting a great FPS. from 30-60 FPS, but the problem is I'm getting this jerkiness. It's like the game is lagging and it's having to catch up and the screen jerks back to center. And in doing so it gives it a blurred look. Now I've tried everything I can think of including maxing out DX 9's V'sync.

Is there anything I can do to help this or is my vid card the problem? What I don't understand is why I'm getting a high FPS but still lagging... Should I put the vid card to 128MB and put the other 128 in RAM? I really want to play this game but I don't like the constant jerking.

    -Thanks in advance.

BTW: I went to the Sacred site and in support it talks about a problem with blurring and it unselect Full Screen mode well I did that but the problem still persist.

Weird problem, you have good FPS and enough RAM but still you have stuttering. You can try to set your virtual memory to the highest (around 4 GB I thought), maybe that will help.

Update your videocard, update the game with patches. I am not very familiar with that game, so maybe another member here can help you.

Lousy programming. Notice that the game jerks when you first move around in a new area. Each jerk accomplices a hard drive read; watch your drive light as you move. Now retrace your steps, smooth? Same on two different GPU's and processors.

Let us know if you crash near the hall with the moving blue bars..

I did enjoy the game but the CD copy protection was so strong it murdered my old Arima DVD drive.

    That's why I'm trying to find a no-cd patch.

HEY I BOUGHT THE GAME!... I don't need to buy another CD Drive. That shouldn't be illegal :(.

So you're saying nothing I can do? I have to deal with the lag like Morrowind's lag lol. Thanks though :). You were both a great help.

I could not get the no-cd patch to work. The characters would disappear!?!

Oh well, I found it the bargain bin but, way glad I did not pay full retail.

Other than the hallway crash bug and disk protection, not a bad game.
