i am a former mac user, and i have been using them ever since i was little, so i dont know any thing about pcs, but im buying one. i hav NOOO idea what directx10 is, but i know its gud; so im gettin a NP5793 with a 8800m GTX graphics card and Windows Vista Ultimate. will that come with DX10? and if not, how can i get it?

DX10 comes standard with all versions of retail Vista, it's just a newer version of the programming API used to code games in Windows. Right now games specifically coded for the newer API have slightly better eyecandy at the cost of reduced performance (although exceptions exist). The 8800mGTX is the premier single card configuration for laptops in gaming so it will run every game released now without any problems.

dx10 compatability comes with the video cards however you need vista to use dx10 and also most games will run better in xp on dx9 and will probably look very similar
