I'm very interested in following the GPU sales trends but I'm clueless as to where can I find a trusted place with this information?

Every now and then a certain piece of news says "the highly successful GPU NAME HERE" but where do they get their sales info from?

    Does anyone here know?

    Thanks.

EDIT: Steam monthly survey gives somewhat of a good idea about things but i meant other than it.

You mean in the notebook market? Right now, nVidia is outselling ATi in this sector, but both are being outsold big time by Intel. In the desktop side of things, it's pretty much even if you're talking about the newer generation of cards, but there are many more nVidia owners than ATi owners.

That only accounts for a specific portion of the market which would probably be enthusiasts. You can see that Intel graphics users which are a majority are a only a minority in this sampling.

Of course it's great if you only want nVidia vs ATi.
