Hello friends i m Ricardo and i m from Portugal.
I made some benchtests with my laptop Samsung R50.
The specs are Pentium M 1,73ghz with 1gb of ram but just a Ati X300 128Mb Hipermemory.

    Ok lets start:

    Graphics Card Specs

    Texture memory – 64 mb
    Video memory – 64 mb
    Total Agp memory – 256mb

I made the tests using the Notebook Hardware Control with the CPU speed in Dynamic Switching and the graphics overclocks were made with the NHC to.
    The drivers are the standard
    Results:

    Core clocks - 297 mhz
Memory clocks - 229,25 mhz -------->> default clocks
    2634 points

    Core clocks - 330,75 mhz
    Memory clocks - 263,25 mhz
    2991 points

    Core clocks - 337,50 mhz
    Memory clocks - 270 mhz
    3001 points

    Core clocks - 351 mhz
    Memory clocks - 276,75 mhz
    3011 points

    Core clocks - 371,7 mhz
    Memory clocks - 276,75 mhz
    3184 points

A second test with this last clock settings but with the CPU Speed In the NHC in Max performance gave me 3271 points.

For now its over friends, the idea of this thread its only to share ideas and results and to make some discussions about our laptops.
I m gonna wait for some reply from the forum users.
Best regards and my apologies because my bad English.

Hello again yesterday night i made one last test

    Core clocks - 398 mhz
    Memory clocks - 348,25 mhz
    3675 points.

My max temperatures are between 56º and 62º celsius
Remember that I m just using NHC to change the clocks and for the benchs
    the 3Dmark03.
I m still not finding increases in the games performance with this graphics overclocks.
I m running BF2 in medium, but the Dinamic Shadows are in off and dynamic light in low with 1024x768 resolutions.
I have a NFS underground2 demo and to run in 1024x768 I can only use medium details but in 800 resolution works fine in maximum.
I tried with high details in Bf2 but for now I don t find better results.
I m gonna overclock with the clocks above and tried again BF2 and NFS underground2 to check if will run better.

    Best regards

Do you notice a significant increase in heat generation? Thats quite a performance boost from stock settings.

During the tests the temperatures look like the same.
More or less 45º or 50º
But during games like BF2 goes to 60º/64º celsius maximum
and the ram modules get high to.

Yes you right, the people here in Portugal say that to run with good performance BF2 the ram should be 2gb.
But i m running more or less ok with 1gb.

    BF2 really does need 2GB to run comfortably, I noticed a difference when I upgraded from 1GB --> 2GB.
Looks like your temperatures are fine; the X300 doesn't use much power to begin with, so it won't produce a lot of heat.

Until now the max temperature that i ve register was 64º celsius but they dropped in a second to 55º.
Running BF2 the maximum was about 58º.
In a normal usage my samsung goes about 45º/48º celsius.
I saw in some threads that Samsung isn t selling in USA.
Its a shame, because mine is very nice and compact in the size.
    Very silent disc and fan.

Samsung does not sell notebooks in the USA, correct. It's a shame, because they have some very sleek and enticing designs that I am sure would be a hit here.
Quietness is always good; the cooling system is probably one of the most overlooked aspects of notebook buying.

Hello again i indeed found some increase during game in my case with a NFS demo, after making some overclock in the graphics card.
Its not a big increase but we can see them during play.
One of thinks that i like more in my model is the quitness of the HD and fan
The Hd its almost impossible to ear, only in completely silent could be possible ear something.
I made a test with 3dmark05, with over clock, the final result was only 1264 points.
