help! i just bought a computer pretty much for oblivion and it started having problems with it pretty much immidiatley. Ive searched google and these forums but havent found this exact problem.
The save games i make in oblivion wont work. I click on the save game i want to load, then it asks if i'm sure. i click yes, then the whole computer freezes, the loading bar doesn't even show up, it freezes when i click yes. I cant get out of the freeze, the only way i know to get out of it is to cut the power and unplug the battery. it does this for old saves too. i then updated to the newest version of oblivion and the old saves that froze before started workign again, so i thought it was over. but then i saved a game with the new version and then went back to it and it froze again! does anyone have any idea on how to solve this?
    I'm on:
    xp pro
    m9700
    turion 2.4
    dual 7900gs's
    2 gigs of ram
    80 gig hard drive

I agree with ARom, though your problem might be related to mods crashing... maybe...
