Does anyone else who uses an ATI card to play have an issue where the mouse pointer will get corrupted randomly and just look like this ''''''''' but vertically?
It seems to be an ATI issue, not entirely sure though.

It happens sometimes (HD2600), I just shake the pointer around, and it fixes itself. :p Actually I have the issue in windows desktop too when I am using dual screen.

I have the same issue with my system. Seems like a common problem for ATI users. The corrupt cursor won't go away until I restart my system.

Those are GSOD symptoms, try updating graphics drivers?

The fix for me is move cursor to the edge of screen, let screen scroll for a few seconds then problem goes away.

I would make a wager with you that this would not be defined as a GSOD.

Yeah i dunno. People have been posting on the ATI forums about this too. Could be an ATI only issue. For me, i have to tab out, open/close a few windows and tab back in to fix it, because the mouse gets stuck like that in windows too until i click some stuff. Super annoying and can be game breaking.

Same for me. I don't think it's an ATI problem, it's more of a memory corruption problem, and that is Blizzard's problem.

Well I'm just putting in my own experience, the mouse would be corrupted first, then after a while, GSOD. This is a driver failure, instead of completely crashing though, it reboots but leaves artifacts, which is the mouse corruption.

I have only see it a couple of times in SC2, but my windows desktop issue was largely fixed after I installed my custom FireGL V5600 drivers. :D Replacing the stock HD2600 drivers from HP. If it really is my GPU failing, it would have died a while ago lol. Now until I start seeing strips of artifacts across my screen, I am not worried.

It is an issue that only affects ATI cards, and AMD is aware of this. I believe in either the 10.7 or 10.8 change logs it said that the occurrence of that issue was reduced.
