    hi!!

my laptop runs for 2 hours, 30 minutes with wifi off and screen on max bright, doing nothing (just in the desktop with the wallpaper, without screensaver) is that normal for the following laptop??

    -core 2 duo T7700
    -2gb ram
    -nvidia 8400gs
    -14,1" high bright screen
-6 cell battery (maybe 9? xD, because it sticks out of it!)
    thank you very much

    Merry XmaS!!!

For the 6 cell battery ,yes it`s normal. You can get upto 4 h if you im the light and disable the wireless...or even more.

What brand and model? Batterylife varries from brand to brand. For example, Asus has crap batterylife.

hmm....i dunno....the 8400 isnt supposed to be that much of a power hungry card.

i mean my bloody 17" with a friggin x1900 (lights dim all around town when i turn it on) and it survives for about 2hrs 10mins.

then again....everyone is right...which company is your notebook made by?

It's sticking out? It's probably 9-cell because it's sticking out because mine's like that. That's odd. Only 2 1/2 hours doing nothing? Mine lasts up to nearly 3 hours while surfing the net, full screen brightness using the GF Go 6600. When I'm using the GMA900 it boosts up to over 4 hours.

Then again, I did lower the voltage of my processor using Notebook Hardware Control. Search for that app in Google along with the corresponding tutorials for safe undervolting of Core 2 Duo processors.

Dim the screen. It sucks up almost as much power as the CPU.
