Is there a way to give a composite score to a video card?

I first thought that video cards could be ranked by bandwidth, but not the case!

7900 GT has better fill rate, pixels per clock, and vertices/second. Is there maybe an easier to compare, composite scoring method of video cards?

    Thanks.

Typically, a good set of benches is to run 3dMark05 and 3dMark06, followed by a few real life game benchmarks. Something like a F.E.A.R. (downloadable multiplayer for free) game by yourself with FRAPS running to give us the fps of the game.

There is no way to objectively rank video cards, because the rankings would change based on what your intended use and priorities are. If you tell us your usage and the cards you're looking at, we should be able to help you out.
