Just curious what your notebook's native screen resolution is that you use primarily for gaming?
-
1440X900 (and the new one will be the same).
I don't game much, but when I do need to kill a couple of hours, I don't fiddle with settings. Then again, I don't play demanding games, nor do I care enough about them to change anything. -
16:10 1680 native resolution, however the newer more demanding games downscale to 1280x800.

15.4" 1280x800 although I wish it was higher.
-
1920x1080... or at least that is what it will be in about a week.
-
1366x768, not the sharpest screen but I don't have to worry much about settings unless I'm playing Crysis.

My 16:10 HP has a 1680x1050 res (which reflects my vote).
I also have an Acer Aspire with a 16:9 1366x768 res - it's quite limiting, but I don't complain about it since the laptop was only $400.
-
Have had the the best of both worlds, glossy 1440x900, 1280x800 and
Matte 1920x1200 screens on my alienware notebooks. -
15.4" 1680x1050
I do game on native resolution for games that my notebook could handle. Will lowered/disable AA 1st before I lower the resolution. -
15.4" 1200x800res ,seems everything including games movies looks good to me.Any higher and it would be to hard to see things.
-
I don't know if your poll in is order or not, but 1366x768 would fall in between 1280 x 800 and 1440 x 900.
-
1440x 900 here
all i could afford when getting my note book.
-
I chose "other" since my laptop has a 16" 1600x900 res screen.
-
15.4" 1280x800. I like to game with the settings at max, while playing on default res
-
since 2006 its 1920x1200 and always native res for games
-
16" 1366x768 representin'.
-
I'd rather be sure I get high frames and still enjoy a good pixel/size ratio, so I chose 1680 x 1050 for 17". If there's too much horsepower, there's always AA
Besides, 1680 x 1050 is sharp enough for browsing on this 20" monitor.
-
I think these results are going to be a bit skewed, as users will probably be more likely to respond to this poll if they are more concerned with display quality/resolution. Those users are probably more likely to pay for premium displays, rather than the ubiquitous 1280x800 ones included in many default configurations.
Just a guess! -
17" 1900x1200 o.o My native screen resolution
-
1920 x 1200 here. i will never ever purchase another laptop with anything lower
-
Where's 1024x600? Just because it's a netbook doesn't mean it isn't my primary gaming notebook. I play tons of stuff on it, nothing really new or graphical, but it still gets alot of attention.
-
USed to be 1440 x 900, now its 1920 x 1200.
NEVER GET 16:9!!! -
I have a netbook too! Didn't consider it, but will see if it can be added!
-
Actually it is not. But 1920x1080 should be before 1920x1200.
Basically in order of lowest amount of pixels to highest.
Mods: Can you please do two things?
(1) Move 1920x1080 *before* 1920x1200
(2) Add 1024x600 to the beginning (for netbook users)
Thanks! -

15.4' Screen with a native (and max) resolution of 1280x800.
1440x900 on a 17' looks like so much more room
naturally.
