Hi. I have a toshiba satellite A200 that has the Video Adapter Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (256 MB) I bought my computer in Australia SATELLITE A200 (PSAF3A-08202D) with windows xp.
The computer started to be very slow and since i had a lot of programs i didnt wanted anymore i restored it to the out of box state.

The problem is that the screen went black after the windows logo. It only worked in safe mode. I deleted the drivers of the display adapters and it works but without a graphics card.
Now i cant play games or watch movies. Everytime I try to install the driver, no matter if its from the cd, the toshiba webpage or the intel webpage it always restarts with black screen.
I tried to disable the adapter instead of uninstalling it. When I enable it, it accepts it and it will say its working but just with 640x480 screen resolution. If I try to put it higher it always goes black.
Can anyone help me? Thanks so much

I dont know if you are suppose to use driver sweeper for igp gpus, but that could be the case if you installed new drivers and didnt completely get rid of the old ones.

I have had this problem before, it is nothing to worry about, just make sure to clean the older driver installation before installing the new drivers, and everything will be fine.

+1 on Driver Sweeper, it is a quality program.

if you dont know how to completely get rid of a driver, this is how:

go into device manager - uninstall driver and click on delete software

if there is other software with the driver, you should delete it as well.

then go into safe mode and use driver sweeper. if you have never used driver sweeper, then just make sure you click on whatever driver software you are wanting to get rid of. then analyse and clean. i usually do it twice.

then reboot and install the driver.

    cheers
