I was playing virtua tennis 3 on my laptop, and all of a sudden, screen goes black, but there is still sound. i pressed the win-key, then clicked on the game again to get the screen back. happens every 10mins playing that game.

Does the screen go black as in it looks like it's turned off, or goes black as in the color of the screen is black but still on?

Also does it only do it with Virtua Tennis 3, are any other 3d games/apps affected by this? Or does it happen at any other time?

Well, first off, update your video drivers if you've not already done so.

Secondly, what OS are you using?

Check out the updating video card drivers section in the sticky.

It could be a driver issue, so updating your drivers is a good idea indeed. Otherwise it does sound like it's a problem with just Virtua Tennis 3 not liking something about the machine.

Driver issue being the most likely, Vista being a likely second. Since it doesn't do it with anything else, unlikely that your monitor or graphics card has any physical issues.
