    Hi All,

Basically, on some games (not all) mainly Crysis and The Witcher the game screen keeps freezing every 10 seconds or so. It's especially pronounced on Cysis as the screen freezes and the sound stutters really badly. In between this stuttering it's really smooth as I get good / playable FPS.

I'm running on Windows Vista Home Premium and currently using the LTV2GO 171.16 graphics drivers and the games giving me the problem are all patched with the latest releases. I've tried most of the drivers available and if my memory serves all display the same problem with above mentioned games.

As I said not all games display this issue as I can run UT3, World In Conflict, Tomb Raider Anniversary (All demo's) with no freezing / stuttering at all?

Cooling should not be a problem as I'm using a Zalman notebook cooler and my GPU temp stay's well within stable limits plus if it was heat causing a problem wouldn't it happen on all games?

My laptop specs are mentioned in my Sig, any ideas on what's causing the problem?

    Thanks in advance,
    Omino

I have read in these forums that some games 'do not like' overclocking, is that your case?

Another possiblity is the driver, can you try to use another and see if the sttutering repeats?

I hope this can help, if not to locate the problem, at least to discard possibilities.
