I recently saw a demo of Twin Sector on Steam . The game itself isn't too bad; Instead of the portal gun, it has gloves that can control objects, and uses the HAVOK Physics engine well.

However, the voice acting is kinda shoddy, and the gameplay might seem a bit simple for some.

Also check out the original Portal concept, named Narbacular Drop.
It's not too bad, but lacks GLaDOS :(

Prey - Not entirely like Portal, but there are levels where you can travel through portals, change your size, walk on ceiling etc.

Or you can always try Portal the flash edition.

Portal is one of my fav games. While no game is the same as it, Mirrors Edge gives me a similar feel when playing it. Your main opponent in both games is your environment and both have you solving puzzles by finding the right path. Both games can have the levels completed in different ways and allow creativity.

Differences are mainly falls kill in mirrors edge, not in portal. In portal you occasionally fight non moving sentry robots and allow you to take your time. In mirrors edge you will at times fight officers although running is many times the best option.

Oh...and you get a portal gun in portal. :D In mirrors edge you just defy gravity hehe.

I would say more games in the action/exploration genre... Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, even the new Batman Arkham Asylum. Granted none of them discard the combat, but some of the puzzles are really well done.
