    While an interesting article, its gotten to the point where graphics are so friggin awesome its hard to tell the difference without a compareson. I'm a graphic artist and I have trouble seeing the difference in games without looking side by side.

    shader model 2.1 and 3 look very same...but very different too from a prespective

    SM 3.0 = me being able to do really cool looking effects in games not possible when programming with SM 2 :) Just wait until DX10/SM4 hits...
