Right now i have a laptop with an x1600 radeon witch is ok for the older games but i want to play the new ones like Crysis in high settings, so my question is shall i buy a new laptop with an 8600gt in it or wait for the 8800m to come out in order to enjoy newer games in high quallity or wait even longer?

If you aren't desperately urgent for a laptop right now you can always wait until the 8800 comes out. Otherwise pick the best combination currently available and pay for it.

Crysis in high? Buy a desktop :p

But yeah, if you aren't completely losing your mind because you can't play stuff on Ultra, waiting to see what happens in the next month or three might be good.

What about if i buy a laptop with an high end D9x like the 7900gtx, which is much cheaper now and ive heard with most today's games there even faster then the 8600m. Dunno if its true tough but i dont think there's much difference with 9X and 10X right now, or is there?

As of now the only differences can be seen with games like Crysis where extra graphical eyecandy is unlocked in DX10 mode, however the differences are very subtle and the performance hit isn't normally worth the extra eyecandy. However with the DX10 high-end cards getting released soon it might make sense to pay extra for future games as DX10 is better understood and implemented.

Go for the 8800, it is so close to launch. I can't see a reason for NOT waiting unless you really don't have the cash.

    This is my dilemma too.

I have about $2000-2200 to spend with taxes/shipping included. Nothing more.

Yet I'm sitting here waiting for the release of the new cards to see how they are priced and also how it reflects the price of old hardware, if at all.

For me, one of the most impatient people ever, this is hard. :(
