    Model: VGN-FZ445D
    Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family

    *edit* Graphics card: Intel® GM965

Processor: Intel core duo 1.8 ghz
    Memory: 3062MB RAM

I was searching on the forms and found this link:

My problem is basically the same. I followed the steps in hopes that there would be a driver update so I could install a game. My question is, can my card support Sharder Model 1.0 or higher?

Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family is a chipset not a videocard
    what's your videocard?

there are programs you can use to spoof your SM version, tho the game might have glitches

I think its Intel® GM965, i'm kinda confused with laptops and their integrated graphics cards. The game I'm trying to install is "Company of Heroes", i hope that helps more. And thanks in advance for helping :)

it says it supports shader model 3.0

go to bios and see if you can allocate more than 8MB for video memory, you need like 128MB

or try this 3dfxzone.it - Tools Channel -> 3D-Analyze and force the SM version

i went to the website and tried downloading 3d analyze, but I don't know how to test SM or where to go for Bios tests.

Is there some steps I can take to try to fix the shader model? Like re-install something?

ur GPU is not for gaming.. that's why ur having problems.. some games just don't work with intel graphics... got a lot of experience with this so best advice.. get a laptop with dedicated graphics.
