Recently I upgraded my ram to 2GB, and I was wondering if it was possible to change the shared video memory on my GMA950 from 128MB to lets say 256MB?
I look through the Bios, but I couldn't find anything.

    Thanks

It's not user adjustable, the system allocates it based on what you are doing.

When mulling about the desktop, it uses very little since you only need 2D acceleration.

Besides, what is a GMA 950 going to do with 256MB anyway?

It allocates up to 256MB depending on the application you run. You can adjust it to fixed allocation, but the limit is 128MB.

It might help with the graphics with the games that it can support.
When the game is running, there is still around 1GB left anyways, so why not use it up?

It says the the max that it will use even under a game will only use 128MB, I was wondering if there is a way to increase that amount.

it doesn't matter. the intel integrated part is going to be able to do anything with more memory.

its better to keep it with the system.

also- just because a game isn't listing that its using 1.5 gigs of memory or so when you hit ctrl alt delete doesn't mean that it isn't actually using 1.5 gigs of ram.
