Actually Aerosense, I'm not surprised that you scored that low. The ATI Radeon 9000 IGP is a terrible card, no offense - running 3D games is not its strongpoint.

Once you get your new laptop, things will change. ;)

No offence taken. I know about the card being really bad.

Yes things will indeed change :), any idea what I might get with the VAIO's card - like around what?

Not sure about 3DMark03, but in 3DMark05, the Go7400 should get around 2k from what I am hearing . . anyone confirm?

So the Go7400 is like the Go6600? Eeeeek, thought it would be better. Our x700's overclocked get most of us in the high 2000's and low 3000's. I'm getting something like 2954 or something like that, in 3Dmark05, for 03 I'm getting 6700 ish.

Okay I just checked my online ORB results and my highest for 03 was 6791 and now with my current driver setup I'm getting 6768 and my weirdest score was 6666. Umm yeah.

    For 05 my scores are, 2923, 2910, and 2906. I just can't seem to break the 3000's. :(

Although I finally broke 11000 in 03 with my desktop :D

    Cheers,
    Mike

The Go 7400 is a lot slower than the Go 6600. Also for some reason, people have the conception that the Go 6600 is a lot slower than the x700 when they actually trade off with each other depending on the game. The Go 7400 only has 4 pipes and a 64 bit memory bus, which will hurt you badly in games. 3d marks don't mean too much in relation to real world performance.

Agreed - 3DMark is a great synthetic benchmark, but the numbers are only useful to a certain extent. It's more of a utility to see where a graphics card places compared to others.

64-bit memory bus is probably one of the worst things you could have in a video card.
