    can anyone recommend some good shoot-em-ups for me?

    Some games I dislike: Insurgency, games like Insurgency

    Some games I like: Counterstrike-Source

    I pretty much want a game like Counterstrike-Source, can anyone recommend a good one? thanks!

    I second F.E.A.R. Try the the Free mulitplayer( FEAR combat) and see how well you like it.

    First off, these are not shoot-em-ups. These are First Person Shooters. People have already given some good reqs. I'd also recommend Crysis when it comes out. A shoot-em-up (aka Schmup) is an older style of game like Galaga, though there are newer ones still made in Japan. Just not as popular here.

    Unreal tournament 2004. Not exactley shoot
    'em up, but it looks like its right up your alley. Or Unreal tournament 3 when it comes out....if you have a graphics card that can handle it

    Definately try out battlefield 2 and battlefield 2142. Those are some of my favorites. Also play call of duty 2. great PC game. Also in the fall, call of duty 4 will be released. cant wait for that.

    FEAR Combat? Not sure if that qualifies as a shoot 'em up but you do get into a lot of spray 'n pray situations . . .

    It's free so you really have nothing to lose.

    mmm, played FEAR on xbox live, I don't know if it's different on the PC but I hate it on live.

    Sweet, crysis looks pretty fun but I hope it's not all eyecandy. If the 8800m is compatible with my NP5790 I'll be playing it for sure.

    I heard some cool things about Quake. Battlefield 2 is cool, thanks for the suggestions guys!

    i've played FEAR on both my pc and my friend's xbox and i have to say that it's much better on the pc. playing with a mouse/keyboard makes it so much better. and it's free (FEAR Combat) :) i really like it
