    Should I install the ATI OpenCL drivers?

    I just updated from 10.2 and wiped all of the ATI stuff with driver cleaner pro. I've updated to 10.10 and I saw that there's also an "OpenCL" driver. What is this for? I don't really know about that stuff =p

    If you don't know, you don't need it.

    It's for parallel GPU processing in enabled apps. (Of which there are very few.)

    Or you could actually read and see it's not for mobile use. That's probably a lot easier.

    ... it installed with no issue on my laptop and boinc is quite happy with aps that use it

    That's amazing considering the drivers don't support mobile. INF attached can see it's desktop only.

    there were some beta ones for mobile on 10.7 (and maybe 10.8) that supported CL stuff I think.

    Well if anyone wants OpenCL there is always the ATI Stream SDK version 2.2 out for download, works just fine for mobile GPU's....just don't install the extra packs that come with it as they are not needed.
