    Should I turn off intel turboboost?

    Would it benefit games to turn off turboboost? perhaps it would result in more consistent framerates?

    I don't think so. Turboboost is just a safe overclocking feature to pump more cycles if required (for example if your game needs more CPU the turboboost feature will trigger).

    No need to. TB simply clocks your CPU higher if you are using less than 4 cores, you'll only be slowing your CPU down when it's using one or two cores.
