When I compare my Inspiron 1520 /w 8600M GT against my X2 3600+ 8800GT rig Warcraft III is definitely more "jerky" or less "smooth" when side-by-side.

    Should this be happening?

    Ideas?

    EDIT: I'm running driver 7.15.11.5669

go to laptopvideo2go.com and download and properly install the latest nvidia drivers for your OS. So completely uninstall the old drivers then install the new ones. And as to your question I have warcraft 3 running at max settings on my C90 which has an 8600gt and it runs smooth so yeah I'd assume a driver problem. Especially since i have no clue what driver you are using. Most drivers are called something like 169.23 or something like that. I think the latest are 174.25

It runs on max on Most Configs (it even runs on 1024x768 on Intel Extreme graphics, which is beyond suck), so the differance should not be noticeable. Sounds very much like a driver issue.
