    Here are my lappy specs:

    CPU: Cetrino Duo core T7700 @ 2.4Ghz
    GPU: 8400M GT DDR3 (OC'd at 600/731)
    RAM: 2GB
    OS: Vista 32-bit.

    Driver is : 185.85

    You might have been able to play it when it first came out but it is much more demanding today.

    +1 for xxERIKxx. Valve has used the Source engine for a lot of games, and it's gone through a lot of updates over the years. It's still by far one of the most scalable, featureful engines out there but it still can't do magic. Your 8400 is just too old. A low-end mobile graphics chip from 4 years ago just won't cut it any more, not with modern game design.

    Yeh, sorry maybe on low, but then your processor is the bottleneck.

    Your laptop is too low specced in every possible way, no offense.

    at the very least, try the latest drivers from nVidia. One of the more recent releases were said to have improved performance noticeably for dual core machines. Very specifically, dual core machines. Dunno what that means, but some people in the Alienware M11x category back this up.

    No offense taken. Its low spec'd because its an old laptop :p

    Ah well, I guess ill look into the drivers but other than that , guess i'm out of luck
