As the topic title says, show your Oblivion character!

Here is my idiot, a level 8... adventurer... good with magic and weaponry... Although, he has crap for both :-\



Well now he has no money, but a nice, empty house

 

I've only put a dozen or so hours into my game, but I find that I change my getup as fast as I level up. I'm an adventurer as well, with dual magic/blade skills. Currently I'm wearing almost all Orcish, and using a glass dagger---all the enchanted weapons in this game suck really bad!!! they wear out after like fifty strikes---and using an Elven shield for some stupid reason. I'm really starting to hate the impermanence of things in this game, you never get accustomed to an item before a newer, better version of it gets thrown at you.

That's why I use magic. I don't even take out my blade, I just blast people. All I've worked on is strength, and magic, when I level up... Sometimes I get hit and must take out my blade, but usually I just stand back and let people have it.... And I recover quickly..

I am running into a tad bit of a problem... I'm now getting into lighning battles with a little tiny fireball :-X... I feel like an Imp from doom battling a Baron of hell...

I'm so good though, I get hit like once, and he gets hit 5 times and dies...

It's not a super huge problem, since I've got 17000 gold all I gotta do is go to the imperial city and buy a good, super powerful spell

 

Learn to trap souls in every battle, or better, find the "star" . Install the "quest award leveling"-mod which allows your quest rewards to level with you. Otherwise your quest rewards are always generated for the level you ar at and stay like that forever, which makes them pretty useless later on. There are also other essential mods to balance the gameplay...

 

Or just use magic...

Can someone PLEASE show off their Oblivion characters and stop the small talk

Just kidding about the small talk, but for a post about pics, not alot of pics being shown

 

I'll post a screenshot of mine when I get home from work. By the way I just wanted to say I get around 20-28 fps with some occasional drops to 15 fps sometimes when I play at 1920x1200 riding a horse outside with the low poly grass mod, Qarl's texture replacements, Qarls Parallax, Natural Environments, Better Water mod and a few others and my heavily modifed .ini file. I must say I'm pretty impressed the game is actually playable at this high resolution and it looks just gorgeous and all this on a Dell XPS M170 with a 7800GTX 256 MB Ram, 2GB of DDR2 Ram Memory and a 5200 RPM, that soon will get upgraded to a 7200

How do you get that viewpoint (the front of the character)? I can switch to third person perspective but all you see is your character's back...

 

My character was a lvl 22 with daedric armor, looked pretty cool. But my game got deleted.

 

Hold in the 'R' button or whatever button you've assigned third-person/vanity view to. Then use your mouse to swivel around your character

Ok here are some screens of my Level 10 Male Nord, Holy Knight. Skills are Armorer, Blade, Heavy Armor, Block, Alteration, Restoration, and Destruction. Gov Attributes are Endurance and Willpower...obviously. Believe it or not I started him last night when I got Knights of the Nine and he's already level 10. Plus ive only put about 5-6 hours into it so he's leveling really well.

Yes I know that it says 13-15 FPS, but believe it or not the game is alot smoother then that, especially indoors. Plus im on that bridge with the city and you can see everything so its a nice, but very demanding spot. I usually get mid-high 20's. Game is very playable though.

i want to know how to get that gold armor that a couple people had. im only level 6 so maybe i cant get it yet

 

You need to get the Knights of the Nine pack, you get it through the quest. You can download it for $9.99. Or you can go the the store and pick it up on a CD for $20, then it also includes all the other previous packs, horse armor, orery, spell tomes, thieves den, etc. As for the "Gold Armor" thats Dwarven, and I believe it begins to show up around level 10, so you have a little work to do erik.

As for the Knighs of the Nine armor, its very very nice. Defense is a little better then steel I believe, but the enchantments you get from it are awesome. Plus the the quest you get lots of perment effects that give you bonuses, like the perment +5 armor because of your "Holy Aura". I would highly recommend getting Knigts of the Nine, very very fun and rewarding quest.

What is that armour called?

 

That armour is definitely from a mod, that is it can't be obtained in-game through normal means

Here's my character along with several mods. One changes the coloration of glass armor, and in my opinion makes it look much better than the normal one. Also, I installed a weapons pack including Kadaj's sword from Advent Children along with Ren's Beauty pack which gave me the design for my hair and face. And the last picture is actually taken through my character while he is wearing chameleon robes, which creates a cool effect.
