It's an old card - performs worse than current gen integrated graphics.

Keeping in mind the X600 was pretty awesome when Half-Life 2 was current.

 

Some Bulletstorm, had tried the PS3 demo, but I found the controls clunky like most console FPSs. Unless they are done right like Killzone 2 and 3 for example. Anyway tried the PC demo and found it much more fun.



Some Crysis 2 I have finished twice now, not as good as Crysis or Warhead, but still good.



What I don't get in both games is the "Hold whatever key to look at something cool" when did this start? Are developers so sure that the drooling, button mashers will miss everything unless you grab their necks and stick their faces in it?

 

Just wanted to share this little gem from the first NFS Shift haha...

 

Bulletstorm was pretty fun game. Although the graphics were pretty basic, lack of ambient occlusion, bump mapping/parallax occlusion/tesselation etc, the scenes and environments were gorgeous. Plus running on UE3 means great performance all round!

 

Got some Portal 2 here..

 

Actually Bulletstorm uses ambient occlusion, yes not as nice AO as Crysis but still uses AO in the newer Unreal 3 engine games. MoH Tier one also uses AO and can be turned off in the ini files.

 

my level 50 Rogue, from Rift, hanging out in Meridian before our 20-man guild raid.

 

??? that looks exactly like world of warcraft. they modded the tier 8 rogue shoulder pads like 50 polygons and called it rift? the entire screenshot can be taken exactly in world of warcraft practically.

 

you sir are a idiot, are you a wow babie who thinks the world after 2005 is created because wow came out? this game has much better graphics and textures and is much more interesting, every mmo has similar things.

 

I would have to agree good sir, the only thing i see the same is text.....

 

i concur. the screenshot i posted really doesn't do Rift's graphics much justice. everything is MUCH more crisp, clear, and detailed on my screen compared to the screenshot.

i won't lie. WoW did revolutionize a few things, such as the ergonomic interface. it's only natural that others would borrow a working recipe. that's about all the similarities there are though. plus, u gotta keep in mind that Rift is pretty dang new. the armor, and game content, will only grow. i'm loving every bit of it so far. i just bought another 6-month subscription.

 

rift looks and plays great. what server are you on?

I completely agree. I quit WOW before Lich King came out and I have to say I thought that was WOW in a new area...... Had 110 days on one character, so I am pretty sure I know what WOW looks like.

I'm not too much into fantasy games, but like more historical based RTS games like the Total War series. I have the last 4 games in the series
on my desk top and two of those--- Medieval and NapoleonTW are also on my laptop. I have so many screenies saved on the same external HD
that I don't remember which came from where.

Here's some of my favorites fron Napoleon TW and one from Empire TW:

How is that game I heard its a pc exclusive that is all.

 

The shooting was satisfying and intense & I like the art style too, it's an old school FPS kinda like Painkiller and maybe a little Serious Sam.
I felt like I should buy this to support the devs because imo this has good gameplay, decent visuals, it's pc exclusive, made by ppl who made Bulletstorm & Witcher 2 (which both are my favorite games this year), has a demo before release and $30 doesn't break my bank... also has a cool menu and oh the startup "Flying Wild Hog" cut-scene was cute too
You could try the demo from Steam if you're interested.
