graphics look incredible, cant believe i never heard of this before.
is it bad or why dont i hear about it more often?

 

In my opinion I think it's a good & fun game , they probably didn't advertise it as much as other games.

 

Yea that game looks like you need a pretty good card to run it. It does look fun tho!

Yup it's fun. I've been reading a few other forums and seems like most of the people are saying the game is really optimized and runs very well.

 

Got a few SF IV screenshots after spending a few hours using Abel trying to beat Seth... I freakin hate Seth now... took me more than an hour to beat him finally and unlocked FeiLong. He's like the ultimate cheater in this game...lol >_<

Question: How'd you get the game this early when it's officially released on July 7th?!

 

It's already out in Australia since yesterday.

 

That would explain one of the other thread's claims that the game would be released today...

Apart from Seth, how's the game playing out for you?

 

Pretty awesome! Love how each character handles differently and also really liking the graphical effects of the attacks a lot. I also like the opening intro cinematic a lot. The action is already cool and the music just makes it feels even better.

Not sure if it is my usb Powerwave controller or is it the game but I'm finding the super combos pretty hard to perform sometimes. (I already charged the meters up and pressed the correct buttons but my character just won't perform the cool combos... >_< maybe I just need to practice more... ) The arcade mode on normal difficulty gets quite challenging (enemy attacks faster and do slightly more damage) and it gets a bit frustrating as I progress. But I'm sure I'm having fun most of the time.

Having fun with Zangief. Everything becomes so easy when I'm using him...
Managed to finish arcade mode (medium difficulty) and took out Seth with Zangief without even dying once.




Unlocked Akuma and loving him as well. His Ultra combos are serious pwnage.

By the way the 3 screenshots below are in "ink" style. Fighting against Dan (medium-hard difficulty) for fun. He even tried super-taunting me... even though it didn't work out so well for him. XD

guys seriously, it would be helpful if you could resize those images. i've got a 24" monitor at 1920x1200 and i still find it impossible to navigate the forum on page 17. not to mention the cripplingly long time it takes to load dozens of mega hi res images. it's just ridiculous.

 

I would say Forum size 800x600 or 1024x768 max

(i admit that was on a RPG server and i was shamelessly roof camping with a AWP in a spot that is impossible to get to without RPG mod but if we didnt get up there they would have... i'd also point out that most of the other team switched teams... i play fair these days )

 

I hated when people resize because im too lazy for to wait for the image to load when clicking on it and most of the time I wont click on the image itself.

 

Here's some from COD4. i do my best to kill at least twice as many times as i die, and i when i do die i usually go back and get a revenge kill.

Yeaaaaa I love playing dawn of war 2... like the old Warhammer games with great graphics

 

yep, I used to play on cTx alot as well; they do a good job of monitoring their servers I find, and it's a fun and challenging atmosphere. Haven't played COD4 in a while though, maybe i'll come visit ya!

Found Homeworld Catacylsm in an old box and immediately installed it (since its my faviorite game )

Once installed i decided to force ramp up my GPU detail settings to the max.

16 times filtering
24 times anti aliasing, and all that other ATI good stuff

I'm not sure if you have tried this, but if you add a piece of code to the 'target' line of the shortcut for gta4, you will be able to use more than the available memory of your graphics card. For example, you can set Texture Quality, Reflection Resolution, Water Quality and Texture Filter Quality to highest without crashing the game. According to the memory limit, i am using 844mb out of my 512mb available (i have my res set at 1280x800, everything set on high, view distance at 26 and detail distance at 32, and this gives me about 40fps).

If you want to do this, you have to add "-norestriction" "-nomemrestrict" onto the end of the target in the 'Target' box of the shortcut, making sure to leave a space between the end of the original target and the start of the -norestriction.

Thanks for the info Blazin23! I knew this already when I first got the game.
The reason I didn't want to set my settings to high is because it will make my game lag and the settings in that screenshot are the best settings (after testing out different settings) I found for my notebook. (provides enough details and quality without sacrificing too much frame rate)

On the other hand I was having a good time with my MP5 in CoD4 today.
