I know this is an old game, but for those of you that remember how do you deal with a Sim not being able to commute to work?
It keeps giving me "Feel like I'm in the Bermuda Triangle here. Mayor. I've tried every possible road to my job, but I keep coming back around to where I started. Will I be in the time of the dinosaurs soon or something? Might as well be they fired me for not showing up to work.
I've already tried upgrading the street street to a road, but it doesn't help.
I looked online none seem to talk about this issue.

Do you have a screenshot of your city? It would help us figure out why.
-
Did you build subways and bus stops?
-
What size lot is your city and how is it laid out?
Vanilla Sims aren't very smart, and I would highly recommend the Network add on. -

Use NAM addon and set commute time to x10 if you have a huge city.
Feel free to contact me as that's my favourite game of all time.

Yep, NAM add-on is the way to go. The games default road capacity and sims default path finding abilities are weak. Luckily, NAM (Network Add-on Mod) allows you to customize your transportation networks.
You can get it at Simtropolis.com, the site appears to be down at the moment so I can't provide you with a direct link. -
Is the NAM add-on a cheat?

Everytime I install Sim City 4 the first thing I install after the patches is the NAM mod.
NAM -
Edit:
I never install the extra roads personally. -
It seems destroying his house and building a bus station on top, seems to solve the problem. Hahah he doesn't complain anymore.
