    Sim City 4 Issue

    Its lagging and stuttering like hell.

    But my system specs are way overkill for this game yet its stuttering like hell.

    Known issue? :eek:

    Download the patch, and then make sure Vsync is off, it will mess up games like that.

    I could tell you how to do it if you had an nvidia card, but im not sure. I would assume its like nvidia's. Go into you cards controll pannel and find where you can change its settings. Make sure Vsync is selected off. If it already is I would recommend re-installing the game and see if that helps.

    It's probably an obvious thing, but are you running on battery or on a energy-saving power scheme? Running it off AC or on max performance might help.....

    Nope, I figured it out.

    I ran software rendering rather than hardware and it fixed it.

    I guess its an ATI driver issue.

    But, I was running full power on an A\C and even if I wasnt plugged in my laptop still easily should have been able to run SC4 fine.
