I can't uninstall SimCity Societies. When I go to Computer Programs, and click on "Simcity Societies" It starts to uninstall but, when the loading bar starts it stops about 1/32 of the way to the end and does nothing for about an hour...

    Help...

    Uninstall Manually...

    * Delete the SimCity game folder under EA directory... (If no other EA games installed, delete the whole EA folder as well....)

    * Delete any SimCity saved game/configuration files in your Document directory...

    * Start - Run - regedit - F3 - Type "SimCity" or "Societies" or any other game related keywords... - click "Find Next"

    * When it finds a registry, make sure it's SimCity related, delete that registry and continue the search by pressing F3 again...

    * When it's finished searching everything, you should have removed everything SimCity related... to check... go to "Add/Remove Programs" (XP) or "Programs and Features" (Vista) in Control Panel, and see if SimCity is still there....

If you are not familiar with windows registries, I suggest you:

    - load up the SimCity disc and find the Uninstall Option on the start page, uninstall the game there...

    - or Download registry cleaner and let it do the job of removing the registries... be sure to delete the game folder in Program Files first ...

    Good Luck

thanks, I'll be sure to try this.

Although I have already tried to uninstall using the disk. That didn't work either.

    Hi TomTom2007,

I am having the same problem w/ the uninstall of sim city societies.
I am not good w/ the registry, so if you could please recommend a registry cleaner that could do the job.
    I have a HP HDX 16 Notebook, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz
running Windows Vista Home Premium x64bit.
I am so very frustrated w/ this uninstall that I am ready to scream :(
    Thanks in advance
