Hello, dear fans of SimCity 4 Deluxe!

Recently I've tried to enjoy this game on my laptop. Specs of laptop:
    • Intel Core 2 Dou Processor T7500, 2.2 GHz
    • Mobile Intel GM965 Express chipset
    • RAM 2 Gb
    • 831 Mb nVidia GeForce 8400M GS and 358 Mb Intel GMA X3100 videocards.
    • Vista Business OS.
Game installs and launches perfectly. Even in widescreen mode (1280*800). I've installed latest patch (B638) for the game. My Vista OS has all updates installed. nVidia drivers are up to date, too.

And yet I have this nasty problem with building graphics, as shown on attached image. Also, game doesn't show railways.

Please help me fix this problem. I need directions where to seek solution.

Have you tried running the game in XP compatibility mode? And which nVidia drivers are you using?

Yes, tried that. Same result :(
    I'm using version 7.15.11.128-20070724 I've downloaded from SONY e-support.
Thanks for advice. There are 2 questions, though:
    1) Where can I get them for Sony VAIO?
    2) How can I install them on Sony VAIO?

I've tried to download and install nVidia notebook driver from nVidia website. It specifies VAIO in list of exclusions. And it actually refused to get installed on my VAIO when I tried it.

Since the official Sony drivers aren't working for you, you may want to try more recent modded drivers from laptopvideo2go.com. See this thread for info on how to do this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=258626

It worked! I've reinstalled the game. Patched it. But this time I haven't installed custom buildings and props I've downloaded from SimCity 4 official website. And now I can enjoy this game once more!

    Thank you everybody!
