So how do I know my GPU actually uses the latest driver installed?

I mean on dxdiag and GPU-Z there's all this mumbo jumbo with different .dll files listed as active driver.

Same thing goes on MSI Afterburner but it also adds (285.** Forceware). What does 'Forceware' mean?

Forceware means Nvidia geForce drivers. 285 is the latest.

you can check the nvidia control panel then click system information, then the driver indication applied should be there.
