Just got my new Dell 1555 today and installed my Sims 2 games and expansion packs, they all installed fine but when I go to actually play, nothing happens! I click on the link, or via programs, and the first picture comes up, then it just stops. I've checked in Task Manager and its definitely not running....

Is this a Vista issue maybe? Can anyone shed some light??

    Cheers
    Caz

If it is Vista 64,the Sims 2 maybe having some compatability issues. Have you tried adding it to the DEP Exclusions list?

Have you installed all the latest patches?

Also, you could try running the game in XP Compatibility Mode.

A different video driver *might* help.

I remeber Sims 2 (Original) has compatibility problem with Vista, but updating to any new expansion (mine is Night Life) fixed that problem.
