Yes there have been problems with CF 7970ms. What driver are you running?

Try the 12.7 beta driver. Supposedly it provides 25% improvement.
Are you playing mostly in first person? I don't have much microstuttering in third person, usually only in first person view. -
Dual GPU configurations are bound to have microstuttering right? Check drivers to ensure proper use of the GPUs by the game.
As for moviemarketing, your CPU might be the reason. I went from a 740qm to 920qm overclocked to 3Ghz and my fps in skyrim skyrocketted like no tomorrow. I now play at high/ultra settings at 1920x1080 around 50fps outside on average whereas it would go around 30fps with the same settings before (except on closed environments where fps were 60) -
i am running the official 7970m driver. i think it's later than 12.7, but the yellow flickery screen still pops up when i hit start and of course the annoying micro stuttering. so do you have dual or just single 7970m, if you have dual go to system information, components and then display and tell me how many not availables you see for both cards. i have a total of 5. one for the first card and 4 for the other, you will see what i mean when you click on display. Was wondering if your laptop says the same thing? thanks

I see one and four "not available" for the two cards as well so nothing to worry about there.
As for Skyrim in particular, do yourself a favour and set up your CCC profile such that crossfire is disabled for TESV.exe. For some additional benefit, run D3DOverrider before starting the game. You might feel like you're not getting your money's worth by running on a single card but.. that's just what works best for now. -

AMD Catalyst 12.7 Official BETA W7 download from Guru3D.com
But, why is it not available directly from AMD? It's made by a third party?
