So, anyone else trying their hand at creating a mod or subscribed to some mods on Steam workshop yet?

I have been working my way through the tutorial, creating the Lokir's Tomb dungeon cell.

I started out planning to make it as simple as possible, but once you get into it it's easy to get carried away. I hope when I'm finished it will be a challenging adventure. (I might be getting carried away with the traps ;-)

There are a couple of cells inside the CK called "WarehouseTraps" "WarehouseAmbushes" etc, that contain all the different traps, puzzles, enemy abushes, etc. in the game so you can see how they are set up.

Because Steam has these mods and because Skyrim was 33% off I finally bought Skyrim after holding off. Now there's lots of mods and web advices and guides so I can easily play Skyrim. Lots of good advice from experienced players too.

Yep, hard to believe that after one day there are already nearly 1,000 mods on Steam Workshop!

I dont like the steam workshop.. nexus is still far superior in terms of details given. screenshots, threads for each mod, load order,etc..

I wonder how steam workshop will handle load order or cross compatibility between mods..?

right now the vanilla game launcher is not able to adjust the load order or deal with multiple .esm files. I think the devs are working on this, but you should still be able to use Wrye Bash or similar program.

When I get my desktop going this weekend, I am so ready to start on my long-awaited Skooma Mod! Hehehehehehe...

I can't wait to check the CK out. However, I will still be sticking to Nexus though as the source for mods.

I thought the Steam Workshop was always there, just not the Steam Client itself, according to my friend who tried to make a TF2 hat...

The Workshop has been there for a few months. Until now, it's been exclusively for TF2 content; they just starting including Skyrim now with the release of the Creation Kit.

I've subscribed to a handful of mods, gotta say it's pretty much as easy as it can get. Click the mod you want, and it automatically downloads and installs the next time you launch Skyrim. The only exception so far is stuff that requires other utilities like SKSE. One example of this is SkyUI.

Any suggestion on how to add a new skill with its own perk tree?
