    Slight static sound in UT 2004

    At menu and in game im getting slight static from speakers that i dont hear in other games. I believe i have the latest audio drivers for the SigmaTel Audio on my E1505. any ideas?

    Look for patches to UT - Check sound options in game (test diff settings)

    i have already installed all the patches and tried all all the audio settings, no change

    One thing you might try - this has worked on other games in the past with similar issues:

    Open up dxdiag (Start, Run, dxdiag) and go to the sound tab. Try reducing the Hardware Acceleration a notch at a time until the crackling disappears.

    May or may not work but can't hurt to try...
