Smite Beta key give away

I saw this in the Neogaf forum and decided to do it here too !
(i am not a member there)

What is Smite?

It's a 3rd person action moba game where you move with wasd and everything is skill shot based.

How can I try it out?

The game is currently in beta so you need a beta key!

What's the point of this thread, and how can I get in the beta?

Everyone who gets in the beta also gets 2 keys to gift to others. You login on the website and under your account settings you'll see two beta keys for giveaway!

The point of this thread is to have a key to give away to a forum member. The only caveat is they must in turn give away one of their two keys they get to the next person who wants a key in this thread. You can do whatever you'd like with the 2nd key, So if we keep this up everyone who wants to get into the Smite Beta can!

What are the rules?

1. YOU MUST GIFT ONE OF YOUR TWO BETA KEYS TO THE NEXT FORUM MEMBER THAT WANTS ONE IN THIS THREAD!

2. YOU MUST NOT POST YOUR KEYS DIRECTLY IN THIS THREAD FOR LURKERS TO STEAL!

Where are my keys?

Under your games tab in your account you should see referral keys. It takes a few mins for them to populate though so don't freak out when you 1st make your account and have none, Give it like 10 mins.

This game is not in steam as of now.

I have 2 keys to give, first 2 people interested get it, in turn they have to give at least one of their keys to a forum member that asks for it here, in the end everyone gets a key.

I'm not on Steam right now, therefore I cannot activate my key.

It is not a steam based game ._. It has it's own website. Must create an account and then activate the key there

Baka do notice most of the people asking for the keys are newly created accounts and not active NBR members ._. Baka do not want people to just register, get a key and then disappear Quite unfair for the other active members who are currently offline that might be interested in this.

I registred on this site because I find it on google when I was trying to find beta keys. I had never heard of this page and I don´t see any reason to not remain active on this site with giveaways like this

 

That's exactly baka's point. There are established members that would like to participate, and it would be great if newbies weren't spamming this thread like Tehnologiq is.

Awesome! This is a great game. I've got about 100 matches under my belt and I can assure you all that there's some great potential for this one. If anyone is interested, my tag is Khasar at level 19 I think. You must be level 6+ to join normal ques. Playing with friends, old or new, is always more fun for me. ^^

Hows the gameplay? Similar to dota?

 

Slightly different. Actually not similar at all besides on the first layer

3 person perspective, round map, still a 3-way map, top (left) mid and bot (right), still can't figure out why the shop autobuys for one and upgrades the items..
but its all fun, you level up and get the next spell obligatory for some reason as you cannot choose yourself, very noob friendly but it's very fun! lots of heroes

 

It's similar in that the goals and main overlay strategies are the same. The difference is that it's more of a traditional mmo-pvp feel to the action(though no jumping XD).

The autobuy and auto skill can be turned off.

I'm not sure if the feature is forced on since you are still in the "novice" que, but if it is not forced, then there is a check-box on the screen when you pick your god before a match. Also, I if I'm not mistaken, there is a check box on the store window in-game( press "i" in-match), which is located on the bottom right side of the window.

Anyone been playing for awhile and is above level 6? Or when you get to level 6, hit me up and I can help you with builds(I mostly play Agni, Sobek, and Arachne), show you jungle routes(its a little different than LoL), or just give you a bit of a handicap(makes learning a little easier and more fun I think) and get you on a more competitive skill level. Weekdays, I play 1-2 matches pretty consistently at around 9:00pm PST before I go to bed. Weekends are just whenever. This weekend though, I may be playing the GW2 beta because my friend is fervently pestering me to get it. XD
