Anyone else thinking of getting this game?

Tried the Sniper Elite V2 demo. It was lots of fun and I think I will buy this one. The detail and realism is pretty amazing - you have to take wind, gravity, etc. into account when lining up your shot.

With all settings completely maxed, frame rate is 25-30fps and it still seems quite playable. With AA off and Shadow Detail set to Low, the frame rate is around 40 fps, but when you use binoculars, the lack of AA is very noticeable.

The best setting seemed to be AA low and Shadow Detail low - I got around 35fps in most places.

    No AA, Shadow Detail High

    AA low, Shadow Detail low

Note that regardless of the setting, whenever you zoom in with sniper rifle, frame rate drops considerably, but it doesn't look bad.

I really enjoyed the demo too. I think it'd be a lot of fun to complete it with a friend in coop mode. I don't know why but something is keeping me from getting this game.I feel that somehow this game isn't worth the $45. I got the impression it should be around $30. Not sure though. It was just a demo.

I sure am, didn't expect much when I got the demo, didn't like the first one at all. Now I am three hours game time with the demo, that's 2 hours short of a full campaign on an Activision AAA $60 game.

    Can you hear me now?

Machinima.com put together a fun new Sniper Elite V2 video showcasing the various ways to eliminate your enemies. Didn't even realize you can shoot grenades carried by enemy soldiers.

The game was really good I thought. The kill cams will never get old and the fact your other guns have 2 clips max you really need to find a good sniping spot. Didn't try mp. If it becomes cheap don't hesitate to buy it

$50 is very steep imho. I'll pick it up when it's less than $10.

They really nailed the sniping simulation with this game, also deploying traps is a lot of fun.

Hoping someone makes a sniper mod for Fallout New Vegas that incorporates wind and gravity, etc., like this.

Already playing the game currently! I love the unique gameplay style and the dynamics of the game as a whole... Not to mention the sniper kill animations! ;)
