Sniper Ghost Warrior 2

I didnt see a thread about this yet so I thought I will make one. So far I've played the first hour and I'm impressed with the Game, it looks and plays really good. I do however have an issue with it. my frames are around 50 regardless which graphical setting I use ingame. anyone else experiencing this. I'm using the 310.90 drivers, is there a beta out specifically for this? I mean even crysis 3(same engine) works much better than this..

 

That is interesting, maybe it is also similar to the Colonial Marines fiasco? (whatever console can handle is much below our pcs and if they don't add the dynamic lightning, fog, tesselation and so on, low = very high for us) I will read some reviews about this, interesting that IGN doesn't have an official review released yet...

EDIT: gameplay looks neat, also the graphics are not too bad, however it looks like they disabled quite a lot of CryEngine3. Btw a gtx 560 (non-Ti) can max this game, so your system is fine. It is about the game.

 

The reason that Ghost Sniper 2 is running at that for fps for me is because of no SLi support, but I get weird threading issues like throttling, same thing happens in Hitman Absolution too. So could be thermal could be just the game itself

 

Just started playing this game and holy shiat it's the best looking game graphically it blitzes all over TombRaider...and against crysis 3? well with SweetFX it actually beats it.

Running on a 6990m and everything max and am getting 40 fps....sooo smooth and this is the best looking game graphically I have ever played.
Love the Crytek 3 engine.. all games should use this engine.

Tombraider has a great plot storyline but graphics are subpar compared to this and Crysis 3.

I'm quite amazed how little NBR, and everyone elso for that matter, cares for this game

 

ya obviously Crysis 3 is a ton better than it, I think there is a serious downgrade of CryEngine3 on this game as it can produce much better than this (that being said, I think it looks ok)

 

It does indeed looks very good I only brought in Crysis because of the Engine, whats got me wondering is how come I get double the frames on Tomb Raider than this, with tomb raider looking better and beeing an AMD Gaming Evolved title? I mean its 50 here and I get 90-100 in Tomb Raider. just weird... and yeah a 680m should be perfectly up to the task you are right..

 

Just an update.
I have gone further into the game.
Some bugs to report where I fell down thru a hole and couldn't get out.

Some levels are ok whilst others are awesome.
The graphics are not to the same level as Crysis 3 so that remains the benchmark for now, but nevertheless still amazing graphics.

 

So far all I've heard about the game is bugs! (yes, yes internets are for complaints and not joy ) Game ruining bugs like I found in the first one, this was one game that had no hope for a pre-order due to history, and restraint wins again.

lol, do they really make you agree to not post game footage on youtube? Can't imagine that is right, but if they do, wow!

 

Well they are mixed to the extreme. The tibet mission act III is the most amazing level I have ever played. The colors, lushness, temples and the sniping is truly an amazing effort.
Some of the other previous earlier levels like serbia were a bit boring and bland.

But yeah dwell deeper into the game and be rewarded with an amazing sniper experience. There is heaps of running which some may find average and you must obey orders exactly or should i say precisely. The heartbeat monitor and wind velocity are amazing.
A tip for all go prone to get a top sniper shot and watch that bullet fly eg snipereliteV2.

A great game nonetheless and one that all true avid gamers should experience IMHO. It's more engaging and intense than Crysis 3 and other FPS. This is why I rate it highly. Experience it with SweetFX and be prepared to be graphically amazed. I wish I could post some pics of the amazing graphics but unfortunately am on 3G which is slow for uploads

 

Well I found my issue. 1440p

It looks like the CryEngine has its problems above 1080p. crysis 2&3 too. Where I was getting 50fps on low@1440p I was getting 120@1080p on low. I have now set the game to very High @1080p and get ~70fps

on a different note, I haven't found any bugs yet but I haven't played much either...

 

Crosslimit @1440p are you running the game into another monitor? 1080 is more than enough at 15''.

Just finished the game. It was a fantastic game...highly highly recommended. I wish there was more. ))))))))))))))))))))
The last level is most impressive graphically.

haha yeah Im using an external 27 inch monitor at that resolution. How do you even get 1440p on a 1080p display? I dont think its possible

 

i'M IN ONE OF THE FIRST MISSION AND AFTER FALLING OFF THE PLANE HULL LATER ON MY SNIPER BUDDY WHO i'M SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW JUST STAYS IN THE SAME PLACE IN THE WATER.... Sorry my CAPS Locks was on... But anyway, I didn't know what to do so I just start sniping off at the base full of men then my sniper buddy opens up machine gun fire instead, no sniping. I guess this scene is a bug.
