Too bad that my country(Australia) has banned the game. That isn't going to stop me from buying it overseas.

Probably not, but if you vote Kevin Rudd we will get faster internet so we could just download it from Direct2Drive or any other place like that!

Yeah I use to play SoF Double Helix all the time. The game freaking rocked. And SoF: Payback came out of the blue too. No one really knew it existed till recently, and it's coming out so soon.

It's pretty sweet when games do that, I just wish it was happening like in Feb or something, so many games coming out already as it is.

It looks cool and all but its not the type of modern war FPS that I like.

I prefer them to be a bit more realistic, team play oriented, and not generally run and gun style.

It looks like this game will be a low-budget affair. At least that's what I've read in various gaming sites (can't remember which ones). I likes the insanely gory SoF II so I'll definitively check this one out :)

Oh HELL yes. This will be, probably, the only game I purchase this year. If the online play is anything remotely as good as SOF2 then it's a winner. SOF2 was my favourite online FPS ever...

I remember trying to play SOF2 on my Dell Inspiron desktop with a Pent 3 866 mhz and a TNT 32 mb video card. It was fine until I got to the level where your on a ship and it's raining out. Man, it was a slide show. So I went ount and bought a 4200 ti. That card was freaking awesome.

Back on topic, this game looks to have great potential and is going to be a blood bath...hehe.

Given that this is the 3rd installment of the series, you'd think that by now the creators wouldv'e surely followed the games' unreserved and explicit content by simply inserting "super racist edition" into the title somewhere.
    Payback? yea right...

Huh? How is this title racist?

This series inserts mercenaries in confilcts taken from real world events and scenarios.

Now if they had anywhere in this game referred to any race by derogatory names, or stereotypes I would agree with you, but from the past games and press releases, I do not see where you are getting this from.

As a target of racism and bigotry in the past, I find myself sick and tired when the term is diluted by saying this is racist, or that is racist with no comprehension of the true meaning of the term.

    According to Wikipedia
Racism has many definitions, the most common and widely accepted being the belief that members of one race are intrinsically superior or inferior to members of other races.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racist

Of course if you have a military action against a country, it's native people would be in the opposing army and you , as the protaganist would be expected to kill or nuetralize them in the game. That is not racist, it is a fact.

This game as far as I see does not claim that any race is superior to another. Show me where I am wrong.

In any conflict there are always at least two sides.

OK GUYS!!! chill it! We dont want this turning i to a flame war...the word ''racist'' should NOT have been mentioned in the first place. ''theyeti'' read the forum rules...

This thread was great talking about the game and older games.....and lets keep it that way!
