I guess after playing yesterday, my videocard got hotter than usual. I eventually stopped when my graphics started glitching (all textures are showing up white, some models are showing up transparent). Today I went to test out my games and same thing, I'm going to reformat and see if it was something that went wrong (I was going to do this and say "hey I reformatted and its still doing it" to the Dell tech support). I still got warranty on this laptop.

Anyhow question, are the videocards attached to the motherboard on the laptop?

I believe the Dell Inspiron 6400 uses the same chassis as the Dell Inspiron E1505 and as such have removable MXM graphics. Dell will probably send you the replacement part if the issue does not resolve through troubleshooting.

Yes they are attached to the motherboard, however im not sure if yours is removable. Anyways dust out your GPU and CPU vents and make sure nothing is blocking them and try again while monitoring your GPU temps with HWmonitor

As I stated before both the Dell Inspiron 6400 and Dell Inspiron E1505 have removable graphics:

IIRC, although Dell uses modular GPUs, they aren't MXM in both slot and card design.

They can most likely be requested from Dell in that case.
