I know it's old but "world in conflict " is still one of my favorite RTS of all time.

Problem is My laptop crushes every game I throw at it, except world in conflict. With everything set on max, my avg FPS is around 53fps . I. Also notice it's not really using me second gpu at all.

Does anyone know why? Or a setting I can change to force SLI?

    My system is a i7 4930MX running at 44,43,42,42.
Two GTX 780m's in SLI with slight overclock , gpu is around 960mhz
    32GB ram @ 1600mhz, two Samsung 840 pro in raid 0.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

What's your GPU and CPU usage like? Can you provide in-game screenshot with OSD showing % usage of both GPU's and all 8 threads of CPU?

I looked at this game in the driver and there are SLI profiles for both DX9 and DX10/11. So game must have DX9 and DX10 render paths judging by its release date.

Maybe your GPU doesn't have enough work to do? Run game in DX9 and enable 8x SGSSAA in Inspector using these settings as reference:

Just make sure number of sparse grid samples always matches number of multisamples, i.e. 4x SGSSAA is 4x MSAA + 4x SGSSAA and 2x SGSSAA is 2x MSAA + 2x SGSSAA.

Negative LOD bias also needs to be set to counteract blur when using SGSSAA. Use higher negative values for higher levels of SGSSAA and lower negative values for lower levels of SGSSAA.

Lemme know if any of this helped at all...

Thank you for the reply, but bro that confused the s$it out of me. lol. I have only ever used inspector to overclock but never even saw the screen you posted while using it. lol., but im sure i could figure it out. Something is def up, because i used to get better performance when running the game. Could newer NVIDIA drivers cause older games to slow down?

Also I think if i change the game to run in direct x 9 mode my FPS to go up , but thats because the graphics effects aren't as nice as direct x 10.

ill give it a try, thank you for your help

Click the tool icon to access the profile settings.

Type in your game name in the search bar at the top left.

You need to use DX9 for SGSSAA support.

I was around for the non-existent DX9 to DX10 transition. I'll bet DX10 tanks performance while barely looking better, as always, and gets smacked silly by DX9 SGSSAA.

Im def gonna try it when i get home from work. thank you for your help bro. I couldn't get what info i wanted to by using rivatuner, to show gpu usage, cpu speed ect. couldn't get cpu speed, gpu speed worked when i didn't overclock, but when i ran it stock it correctly reported i was running it at 960mhz.

However i was able to get it to show what percentage of each GPU was being used and they both were only at like 18%!!! > lol. Even my cores weren't working hard. I only had it set up to show 4 cores instead of the 8 windows sees because of the hyperthreading. But even still it appeareda like only two cores were being used. Im wondering if its because back when that game came out most CPU's were only dual core. who knows. Ill post back here when i try it. .thank you again for the help.
