YOUR BUTT. Let's discuss it. Or at least what it sits on during those lengthy gaming/typing/computing sessions. Do you go for the wheelie-leather typo of office chair, or something more laid back, like an armchair?

I'm in the market for a new computer chair - not that you can tell, I'm sure. My current one is an armchair that's huge and bulky and takes up too much space. BUT, looking up computer chairs shows things either too expensive or ones that cushion would wear out within a month or so. Ick.

SO. Discuss. Pics if you want.

EDIT: LOL Censor! There went my great title. >(

I'm sitting on a wooden ikea chair right now. Everything about it is square and there isn't any cushion. I've grown to like it over 17 years.

I like soft cushioned chair. Lets face it, programming or gaming for a length of time is not fun on hard surface.

I have a nice executive type leather chair.
    I hate it.
After using it for 5 or so years, the cushioning underneath the leather is all worn down, so the chair is much less comfortable than it used to be.
Also, the arm rests don't go under my desk, they're too tall.
This was not something I had considered when I bought the chair and regretted since.

I have one of these mesh chair.
    http://www.beyondtheofficedoor.com/EroHumanMesh.php

I used to have a leather chair but it's not pretty in the hot summer. My back would stick to it. And it stunk up the office pretty darn fast. Get a mesh chair and I promise you will never go back. Your laptop requires lots of cooling and so is your butt! You need all the holes to exhaust the sweat and eeer...hot air

I just use a simple swivel chair, with no armwrests. It's not the most comfortable chair in the world, but it's not bad enough that I have to go out and spend $70 on a new chair.

Not really. The armrests are a bit high, but they still fit under my desk so it's all good. I tested out a lot of different chairs before settling on that one, so hopefully I like it :D

I have a basic leather desk chair with padded arms, then behind it a glider rocker with gliding foot rest, which I use with a wireless kb&m, and a couch to the right. I'll use the PC with either one, but most of the time on the desk chair unless I'm kicking back playing a game like GRID that can use a controller.
