What are a couple good games for PC that would hold my attention for a month until MW 2 comes out? Preferrably something under $50 (gotta make sure I have enough for MW 2 the day it comes out) Thanks in advance guys

The Orange Box. It includes Half-Life 2 and both episodic expansion packs, as well as Portal and Team Fortress 2. Did I mention this is all $30? :p

Also, the Unreal Deal pack if you have Steam. Also $30, this deal gets you Unreal Gold, Unreal Tournament '99 Game of the Year, Unreal II: The Awakening, Unreal Tournament 2004 Editor's Choice, and Unreal Tournament 3.

Not a first person shooter, but I also recommend The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It'll sap away all your free hours, and when MW2 comes out you'll be wondering where the hell October went. ;)

Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is $5 on Direct2Drive (Dark Athena also includes the older Escape from Butcher Bay using the updated graphics engine)...

Call of Juarez is $5 on D2D...Brothers in Arms (the first two) are $10 each on D2D (same price on Steam)...Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is $10 on D2D (same price on Steam)...

Jedi Knight series on Steam (Academy, Outcast, Jedi Knight and Dark Forces) is $20...little bit older, but worth your time and money if you haven't played them and like Star Wars...

Soldat. This is a very addicting game and you can download it for free ;)
Why is it necessary to buy an expensive game when you can play Soldat for free which is one of the best games I have ever played.

I would just look for some deals, I have been finding games for very cheap. There has to be one you havent played. I just picked up Devil May Cry 4 for 3 bucks off ebay new. Beat it pretty fast but still, its a friggin awesome game. Also the tomb raider games are pretty cheap, got legend for 5 bucks off d2d and got anniversary for 8 bucks off ebay.

I still cant believe I got devil may cry 4 for only 3 bucks....its so cheap for such a incredibly good game.

    *edited to add*
Found the ebay link if anyone is interested in DMC4 for cheap. $2.99 + $4 shipping.
