    Sony SZ6 + FIFA 07&Call of Duty 4 = some problems, help plz.

    Got Sony SZ6RVN/X with intel X3100 & nvidia 8400gs.

    1)Installed FIFA 07, in speed mode (when 8400gs is turned on), during the game there is sometimes, exactly - nearly every 8-10sec. - slowing, slow down, like frame by frame rewind. when i am playing in stamina mode(when 8400gs is turned OFF) the problem persists, but those slow-downs are more rarely, and the game is playable, but i want to play in speed mode, so have you any suggestions?

    2)Installed Call of Duty 4, but canceled to install directX 9, cos i have dx10 on vista. the problem is that the game does not open, there goes an error stating that some file hasn't found dx9 or something else, as i understand the game needs DirectX9.0, will i have any bugs and e.t.c if i would install dx9?

    1) Does the hard drive light come on when the slowdowns occur? If so you may have a RAM problem.

    2) Just install the DX9, it won't do anything since it will detect a newer version is already installed. You should reinstall the game.

    RovingCalypso, i haven't tried dondadah88 solution, cos i don't have dsl inet now, but i'll install this, latest dx in future anyway.

    I just agreed to install dx9c in setup menu, and game is working now, and i see that those dx9c was not even installed.

    Call of Duty Rules. good game. what drivers for videocard (8400gs) would you suppose to install? what version is the most stable and from which i could get best performence?
